Thank you for Participating in
the 6th Annual New England Regional Championship!
It was a great success despite the
hottest and driest summer in years, the worst recession
in years and that last week it
looked like a hurricane was heading for us!
Thank you for supporting the event
over the years and a special thanks to our fantastic
staff who pitched in extra just
when we needed them.
It has been hard work bringing
this type of event to our region. It started out
as a vision
that Dave Boisvert and Rick
Zielfelder had to bring recognition, competition and
professionalism
to our
area's racers. Gathering support, sponsors,
vendors, contingency, product, prizes, talent,
staff
(nearly 90) along with preparing the facility to be
presentable and able to host a large number
of people for
5 days takes planning, time, organization and effort.
Preparing the track surface,
changes and improvements takes
vision, lots of elbow grease and dedication. Dave
and I (Suzanne)
put all of the ingredients
together the best we can and executed them as well as we
could.
People sometimes forget that this
event and place (Winchester Speedpark) are the just the
efforts
of us (real people) doing the best
we can. Yes, many appreciate it and thanks us.
But, there is always
that 10% whom we can never please,
whom break the rules, whom complain, lie, cheat, steal,
disrespect
and whom take just a little bit of
our souls as they just don't get it and let me tell
you....it's hard to lay your
heart and soul on the line, work
yourself to dizzy and risk so much for "them".
But YOU our fabulous 90%, we are
so happy for you, to see you compete and dance and play
and it's such
a pleasure to call you family and
friends! We SO love to serve you and see happiness
as that is why we
do try so hard. We are not
quite sure what the future will hold especially now that
most of the other
local Organizations now compete
against the NERC
(well this year a hurricane
stopped them, but how many times can we count on that?)
With all of that said, we have decided that the
torch will pass or the event will change as we have
all
come to know it.
A special thanks to all of our event
sponsors, vendors and the people who helped make
this
happen over the years! It has brought us and many
of you special memories that will live on always.
Congratulations to the racers whom raced
their hearts out and gave it their all for the
2005, 2006, 2007, 2008, 2009 and 2010 New England
Regional Championship!
This year's
event was great...... nice to go out with a bang!
But, stay
tuned as Dave and I do love the sport and love to
create great racing and events....

Mike is an EXTRAORDINARY individual
Mike lost his leg
in 2008 and decided that it was NOT going to
stop him from
doing what he loved, Motocross and Snocross!

"The first thing I did was hop on
my motocross bike and rode a few laps on my practice
track and it worked better than expected."
THE "getting back up on the horse" story! Amazing
Mike's never give up spirit and true determination

an inspiration to us all and as he went on to
win the
gold at the adaptive X Games this summer,
it was a
victory in perseverance!
